Berryz: Shoppable Blog
Privacy Policy
Last updated: July 24, 2026
Berryz: Shoppable Blog (“the App”) helps Shopify merchants embed product cards inside their blog articles. This policy describes what data the App collects, how it is used, and how it is deleted.
The data controller is Antoine Hardouin (trade name Gray Matter Technologies), sole proprietor, 60 rue François Ier, 75008 Paris, France — see thelegal notice.
Data we collect
- Shop data: your shop domain, an access token provided by Shopify, and the configuration you create in the App (product placements, layouts, appearance settings).
- Storefront analytics: anonymous, aggregated events (impressions, clicks, add-to-carts) tied to a blog article. These events contain no personal information about your visitors — no names, emails, IP addresses or cookies are stored.
- Order attribution (optional): if you enable revenue attribution and approve the orders permission, the App stores the order total, currency and the related article for each attributed order. No customer names, emails or addresses are stored.
What we do not collect
- No personal data about your storefront visitors or customers.
- No payment or billing information (handled entirely by Shopify).
- No data is sold or shared with third parties.
Where data is stored
Data is stored on servers operated by Fly.io. Data is only used to provide the App’s functionality and is never used for advertising or profiling.
Data retention and deletion
- When you uninstall the App, your session and access token are deleted immediately.
- Your configuration and analytics are kept for 48 hours after uninstall (so a quick reinstall restores your setup), then deleted permanently when Shopify sends the
shop/redact request. - The App implements all mandatory Shopify GDPR webhooks (
customers/data_request, customers/redact,shop/redact). Since the App stores no customer personal data, customer requests are fulfilled automatically.
