Privacy Policy

Cheflettes (“the App”) is a mobile darts scorekeeper published by Berryz. This policy explains what information is processed when you use the App, why, and what choices you have.

The data controller is Antoine Hardouin (trade name Gray Matter Technologies), sole proprietor, 60 rue François I^er, 75008 Paris, France — see thelegal notice.

Summary

• No account — you do not sign up and we do not operate a user database.
• Game data stays on your device — scores, history and settings are stored locally.
• Location is optional — used only for the venue map feature.
• Ads in the free version — Google AdMob may process advertising identifiers (with consent where required).
• Email is user-initiated — bug reports and venue suggestions open your mail app; we do not store those messages on our servers.

Data stored on your device

The App uses local storage on your phone (AsyncStorage) to save:

• Game state and score history (player names, scores, game mode settings).
• App preferences (language, sound, haptics, Premium status flag).
• Your last map viewport (optional, to restore the map position).

This data never leaves your device except when you choose to send an email (see below). Uninstalling the App removes this local data.

Location data

If you use the map feature, the App may request when-in-use location permission to center the map on your position and show nearby dart venues.

• Location is read on your device by the operating system and is not sent to Berryz servers.
• To fetch venue data, the App sends a bounding box (approximate map area coordinates) to the public OpenStreetMap Overpass API. No name, email or persistent device identifier is included in that request.
• You can deny location permission and still use all scoring features.

Advertising (free version)

The free version displays ads served by Google AdMob (banner on home/game screens; interstitial after a game ends, at most once every three minutes). Premium removes ads.

• AdMob may collect or receive device identifiers (such as the advertising ID), IP address, ad interaction data and similar technical data to deliver and measure ads, in accordance withGoogle’s Privacy Policy.
• In the European Economic Area, UK and Switzerland, the App uses Google’sUser Messaging Platform (UMP) to collect your consent before personalized ads are shown. You can change your choice later in the App settings or your device ad settings.
• On iOS, the App may request App Tracking Transparency permission before personalized ads.

We do not sell your personal data.

Premium purchases

Premium is an in-app purchase processed entirely by Apple App Store orGoogle Play. We receive only a purchase receipt / entitlement status — never your payment card details. Purchase validation may use Apple or Google services, and optionally a subscription management provider (such as RevenueCat) in future versions.

Email you send us

The App can open your email client to:

• Report a bug (from Settings).
• Report or suggest a dart venue (from the Map).

These flows use mailto: links tocontact.cheflettes@gmail.com. You choose whether to send the message and what it contains. We do not operate an inbound mail server for the App; messages are handled like any normal email you send.

What we do not collect

• No user accounts, passwords or social login.
• No analytics SDK beyond what AdMob uses for ad delivery.
• No sale of personal data to third parties.

Children

The App is not directed at children under 13 (or the applicable age in your country). We do not knowingly collect personal data from children.

International transfers

Third-party services (Google AdMob, Apple, Google Play, OpenStreetMap infrastructure) may process data on servers outside your country, including in the United States, under their own privacy terms.

Your rights

If you are in the EEA, UK or Switzerland, you may have rights to access, rectify, erase or restrict processing of personal data, and to object or withdraw consent for ads. Because most data is stored only on your device, deleting the App or resetting ad consent in settings is often sufficient. Contact us for any request.

Changes

We may update this policy. The “Last updated” date at the top will change. Continued use of the App after an update means you accept the revised policy.
